School Meals

School Meals

Our school meals are provided by The Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust (BWCET) ‘Garden Kitchen’ Team. All meals are prepared freshly every day, using high quality ingredients.

Pupils are able to choose what they would like on the day from a varied menu. All allergies are catered for (please ensure you have informed school of any allergies your child may have).

Dietary Requirements

If your child has an allergy or medical food need then please see the below policy and complete the Special Diet request form to return to school ahead of any school lunches being provided.

Children are recorded on ARBOR as either having a school meal or packed lunch. If your child wishes to change from school meals to packed lunches or vice versa, please email the school office stjs@stjs.bwcet.com giving 2 weeks’ notice. We understand that there are some children who like to bring a packed lunch on a Monday – Thursday and have a school meal on “Fishy Friday”.  If your child would like to do this can you please email stjs@stjs.bwcet.com and we will ensure that this is recorded.  Unfortunately, we do not have the option for children to be packed lunch some days and school meals on other days..

Cost of School Meals

The cost of our school meals is as follows:

  • Nursery Children who stay all day – £2.95
  • Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 – Free
  • Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 – £2.95 per day
